Vision Statement
​
The vision of the RBE Learning Commons is to prepare individuals who enthusiastically share the knowledge and experiences they have acquired from its resources. These individuals will be creative and critical thinkers, have an appreciation of literature, and lead with respect for others and self.
To schedule a flexible time other than your weekly fixed Learning Commons visit, click the button below - doing so will update the Learning Commons calendar immediately.
A two-hour advanced notice is required.
What's Happening?

2018 South Carolina Children's Picture Book Award Nominees
​
For the complete list and a description of each book click here.
​
We will begin reading the 20 South Carolina Children's Picture Book Awards in January 2018. Every book and every child will have access to these books. Voting for the winner begins on the week of February 26. Final votes must be cast by March 2. In order to vote students in grades PK-3 must read or have read to them each of the 20 books.

Students in grades 3-5 will also have the opportunity to vote on the winning book for children's fiction. Voting for the winner begins on the week of February 26. Final votes must be cast by March 2. In order to vote students in grades 3-5 must have read a minimum of five books from the award nominee list.

Kindergarten & 1st Grade are participating in read-alouds.
​
2nd & 3rd Graders are learning search parameters for catalog searches in Destiny Discover
4th Grade are reading books of their own choosing.
​
5th Grade is participating in reading selected texts for character development and setting.
